About the role

To monitor critical systems during off-hours (night shift) to ensure high availability and stability by proactively detecting, analyzing, and responding to system alerts, incidents, and performance issues while performing initial diagnosis and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and service impact.
To escalate complex issues to relevant teams with clear analysis and supporting evidence to ensures smooth overnight operations and reliable handover to the day shift team.
Monitor production, staging, and infrastructure systems during night shift to ensure availability, performance, and security.
Respond to system alerts, incidents, and failures; perform initial diagnosis and troubleshooting to identify root causes.
Escalate critical or unresolved issues to on-call engineers or relevant teams with clear documentation and analysis.
Perform routine technical activities such as system patching, deployments support, sanity checks, and post-maintenance verification when required.
Maintain incident logs, monitoring reports, and shift handover notes to ensure continuity between night and day teams.
Proactively identify potential risks or anomalies and recommend preventive actions to improve system stability.
Perform other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum one year of experience in a DevOps Engineer or related role.
Basic to good knowledge of Linux; some experience with Windows Server is a plus.
Understanding of system monitoring and common metrics such as CPU, memory, disk, and net usage.
Basic knowledge or familiarity with tools like Redis, Kafka, Rancher, or similar platforms.
General understanding of DevOps or SRE concepts; SRE experience is an advantage but not required.
Willingness to at night shift, learn new technologies, and support system operations when needed.
