About the role

To be the central point of expertise and a partner providing legal support/consultation through the E2E value chain.
Proactively share best practices/external insights to identify risks and opportunities.
Oversee E2E value chain operations ensuring no potential legal risks and provide on-time mitigation plans to address any arising issues in a timely manner.
Liaise closely with Company external stakeholders such as agents.
Applies legal acumen; weighs commercial interests and risks to provide consultation.
Provides expert and strategic professional judgment and timely guidance.
Communicates complex legal and issues concisely, clearly, and fact-based.
Reviews and/or drafts legal documents including supply agreements, sponsorship agreements, tenders and procurement agreements, memorandums of understanding, letters of appointment, intellectual property agreements, service level agreements, letters to governance, and Standard Operation Procedures, advising on the same.
Participates in innovation projects.
Assists in drafting and/or reviewing legal documents including contracts and registers unique contract numbers upon review.
Conducts legal research and provides input in legal interpretation and application to operations.
Monitors newly released regulation updates and informs the Legal Counsel.
Prepares applications and assists in processes such as license/permit/approval applications or renewals, including MOC’s annual declarations, documentation of exclusive rights and license contracts, renewal of mark registrations, renewal of patents, amendment of board members, etc. Provides input in policy development, improvement, and enforcement, and assists in providing induction/training or refreshment of all related internal policies.
Provides translation of documents from English to Khmer and vice-versa as required by the Legal Counsel.
Is ready to provide presentations in English/Khmer as needed and performs other related legal and compliance tasks as assigned by the Legal Counsel.
Liaises with other departments within the organization on the status of contracts.
Collects all contracts from stakeholders and uploads them to the Contract Data Base System.
Manages licenses, contract registers, and the contract management system.
Investigates potentially contentious matters and oversees any litigation matters.
Takes the lead on renewing all licenses in the Company.
Is a member of the compliance group specific for SC Compliance requirements.
Drives continuous improvement of Legal contents & processes within HEINEKEN Cambodia.
Actively seeks opportunities to improve processes and procedures; actively encourages and incentivizes others to improve.
