Noova Stack Technology is expanding our cloud & infrastructure team. We are looking for a System Engineer to join our growth team.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a System Engineer, based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The System Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, designing, and optimizing system infrastructures. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting system issues, providing technical support, performing system administration tasks, and collaborating with team members to design efficient system solutions that meet organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, or Linux)
Deploy and operate Cloud computing Solution (compute, networking, storage, and identity services)
Manage virtualization platforms (KVM, Ceph, and related technologies)
Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability
Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and cloud service issues
Implement backup, security, and disaster recovery procedures
Work with DevOps team
Document system architecture, configurations, and SOPs
Requirements
Strong expertise in Systems Engineering and Systems Design, with the ability to create efficient infrastructure solutions.
Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to identify and resolve system-related issues promptly.
Experienced in System Administration, including monitoring and maintaining systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration
Practical experience with Openstack or other cloud technology
Good Understanding of virtualization (KVM, QEMU)
Knowledge of networking concepts (VLAN, VXLAN, routing, firewalls, load balancing)
Experience with storage technologies (Ceph, NFS is a plus)
Familiarity with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes is an advantage)
Basic scripting (Bash, Python)
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
