ABOUT THE ROLE
The Site Material Control Engineer is responsible for the overall inventory governance, procurement coordination, and material lifecycle across the entire development site.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Consolidate site requirements and formulate timely purchase requisitions and material demand reports for submission to the Site Manager and Procurement Department.
- Inspect incoming deliveries of raw materials and construction goods at the site gate to ensure quantities, grade, and specifications match purchase orders and technical criteria.
- Track ongoing stock levels, run regular stock balances, and monitor on-site material consumption patterns across all trades to identify and eliminate wasteful practices.
- Maintain and manage centralized material issuance ledgers for the entire Borey development, ensuring accountability across all subcontractor teams.
- Prepare weekly material requirement schedules for site management and provide structural drafting/drawing support when needed to resolve on-site technical clarifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience (minimum 2+ years) in site material management, stock control, or site engineering within medium-to-large residential or building construction projects.
- Proficiency in inventory tracking systems, procurement reconciliation, and construction material yield analysis.
- Basic-to-intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing or drafting structural drawings.
- High integrity, detail orientation, and strong cross-functional communication with procurement, site managers, and field contractors.
