• The role of the Electrician involves assessing the current electrical standards of the organization, strengthening electrical safety across all areas and accommodation of The HALO Trust.
• The Electrician is responsible for providing continued skills development to the logistics staff and area staff to enhance the knowledge within the program on electrical standards, and must collaborate and ensure that The HALO Trust staff can use electricity safely and appropriately in all their areas and accommodation.
• Generally, you will work closely with the Logistics Manager, update on the progress of electrical works and other issues that arise.
• This role is based in the Siem Reap office but will require you to travel frequently to all 4 areas and mine clearance accommodation.
• Key Roles and Responsibilities: Electrical safety, wiring, appliances and lightning protection equipment.
• Inspect accommodation and all areas, including assessing the necessary requirements for electrical safety.
• Identify areas for improvement and select priority areas based on necessity and associated costs.
• Set The HALO Trust's electrical safety standards according to available logistics and financial capabilities.
• Ensure that electrical insulation and circuit breakers are installed in all The HALO Trust's accommodations and offices.
• Assess electrical safety risks according to The HALO Trust's standards.
• Inspect accommodation quality to ensure The HALO Trust's electrical safety is implemented at all levels.
• Advise the organization on considering necessary electrical safety measures related to future seasonal changes.
• Ensure all offices, explosive stores and accommodations comply with The HALO Trust's global lightning protection guidelines.
• Construction Collaborate with the Deputy Director and Logistics department to implement electrical safety standards in new construction projects.
• Collaborate with the Program's Water and Sanitation Officer and provide joint advice on the construction of new facilities, ensuring electrical safety.
