About the role

Provide technical expertise and coordination in integrated climate change and disaster risk management across all World Vision International – Cambodia (WVI-C) programmes.
Support the implementation of the 2023–2027 National Strategy by strengthening climate resilience, environmental stewardship, and disaster preparedness/response, particularly in the most vulnerable communities to enhance child well-being.
Support WVI-C’s technical engagement in national platforms, support field technical and operations to engage at sub-national level, contribute to quality assurance, and support resource acquisition in climate change and disaster-related project designs.
Focus on building local resilience, mainstreaming climate-smart and disaster risk reduction (DRR) approaches into technical programs, and ensuring children are active participants in building safer, more resilient communities.
Provide technical expertise both at the strategic level (organizational/national) and field level on climate change adaptation, mitigation, disaster preparedness, anticipatory action and emergency response.
Ensure integration of Climate Change and DRR/Disaster Management in WVI-C’s technical programmes (Integrated Health & Nutrition, Livelihoods, Education, Child Protection & Participation) and the Community Engagement & Sponsorship Plan (CESP).
Support Area Programmes in integrating and implementing climate-sensitive, risk-informed programming in disaster-prone locations, including budgeting for disaster preparedness and climate resilience interventions.
Support development of tools, guidelines, behaviour change communication materials, and document promising practices for internal and external dissemination.
Design and facilitate trainings for staff, partners, and communities on climate change, environmental sustainability, CBDRM, anticipatory action and emergency preparedness.
