About the role
- Handle purchase requests, RFQs, price comparison, purchase orders and supplier follow-up for DQD Group and FMCG operations.
- Source ingredients, raw materials, bottles, cans, labels, packaging, chemicals, equipment, spare parts and other brewery/distillery requirements.
- Source and evaluate local and international suppliers; negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ and delivery terms.
- Coordinate overseas orders, shipping documents, delivery terms and with the relevant team on customs/import requirements.
- Work closely with warehouse and operations to monitor stock levels, reorder points and avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Maintain updated supplier prices, compare quotations and identify opportunities to reduce purchasing costs without affecting quality.
- Maintain complete PO, quotation, supplier, contract, delivery and purchasing records; prepare regular purchasing reports.
- Coordinate with Finance, Warehouse, FMCG Operations and management to ensure purchases are properly approved, received and processed.
Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain.
- Experience purchasing for a brewery, distillery, beverage or FMCG is strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of brewery/distillery materials, ingredients, packaging and production requirements.
- Experience sourcing from both local and international suppliers.
- Understanding of purchasing documents, PO processes, quotations, inventory and supplier management.
- Import/shipping knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation and cost-comparison skills.
- Good Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Brewery, distillery or beverage manufacturing purchasing experience will be a major advantage.
- Very organized and strong in documentation and follow-up.
- We need someone who understands that purchasing is not only about placing orders.
- The candidate must be able to find the right supplier, negotiate the right price, ensure the right quality and quantity, and make sure materials arrive on time for operations.
