About the role
- Manage day-to-day airfreight operations, including import and export shipments.
- Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
- Monitor shipments and resolve delays or operational issues.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with airlines and service providers.
- Optimize routing and cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.
- Supervise and train airfreight staff and ensure performance standards are met.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Track KPIs and prepare operational and financial reports.
- Ensure adherence to safety and security standards.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and provide solutions promptly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in air freight or logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of air cargo procedures, shipping documents, and customs processes.
- Proven leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, multiple tasks, and operational priorities.
- Good communication skills in English; additional s are an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office and logistics/operations systems.
- Experience in a managerial role is highly preferred.
