About the role
- Conduct R&D and market research to determine available cybersecurity solutions, design architectures, identify gaps and potential issues before they arise, and assist in understanding, considering, and complying with cybersecurity requirements.
- Develop and implement robust cyber security strategies and solutions in alignment with modern architectural principles.
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, and processes to enhance existing cyber security posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into all aspects of the organization's infrastructure, applications, and processes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, departments, and external partners to convey cyber security requirements, risks, and solutions.
- Lead security reviews, risk assessments, and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation measures.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to other members of the team.
- Confidently defend and justify security decisions and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish relationships with stakeholders and leaders to ensure their needs are considered, and they understand how to adhere to cybersecurity standards.
- Make sure efforts are on track and provide guidance if necessary.
- Mentor and coach of various technology professionals around the Bank.
- Be the main contact for all cyber security related matters including but not limited to penetration tests, risk assessments, and audits conducted by other departments or external parties.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) preferred.
- Minimum five years of technical experience in cyber security roles within large tech companies.
- Deep understanding of modern architectural concepts including microservices, data-driven, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
