  • The OH4CAM project approach involves coordination and collaboration across public health, veterinary medicine, and environmental management for health system strengthening and disease surveillance and prevention.

  • Duration & Level of Effort Duration: Initial appointment of 12 months, renewable subject to performance and funding Duty Station: will be based at GDEP/MoE and at PIC office when necessary DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Key Responsibilities of a Laboratory Focal Point focus on overall supporting daily for Microbiology laboratory of MoE and perform work under the direction of the project leader at MoE while ensuring quality, safety, and effective coordination: Coordination and capacity building Support training, capacity building, and knowledge sharing activities related to environmental microbiology analysis.
  • Coordinate daily project-related laboratory activities and ensure workflows are organized and efficient.
  • Technical support, quality control and assurance Provide technical guidance on microbiological analysis related to water, wastewater, soil, sludge, and environmental samples andsupport implementation of laboratory quality management systems, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal quality control, proficiency testing programs, monitor laboratory procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency of results, and ensure all work follows established protocols and standards.
