Own the full research lifecycle independently: scope research questions, design methodology, draft data extraction specifications, conduct analysis, write findings, and publish-with minimal supervision.
Maintain and continuously refine CBC's research methodology standards, ensuring consistency across recurring publications and one-off studies.
Quality-assure all research outputs prior to internal release and external publication, including peer review of any analyst-produced work as the team scales.
Gather economic and credit data from various sources and consolidate into actionable form to assess the market trends.
Examine and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that may impact credit portfolios and risk management.
Monitor economic indicators and credit trends to provide insights into the potential implications for credit risk management strategies.
Utilize statistical analysis and econometric methods to forecast credit.
Provide insights and predictions related to credit and economic developments that could affect credit risk.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate economic insights into credit risk models and systems.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure economic analysis informs credit risk management decisions.
Build research partnerships with academia (RUPP, CDRI, regional universities), international development partners (Women's World Banking, IFC, World Bank, ADB), and peer credit bureaus in ASEAN in positioning CBC at front of research initiative.
Cultivate relationships with senior risk, strategy, and analytics leaders at member institutions to ensure research is grounded in real industry needs.
Sharing economic insights and research finding with both internal team and member to foster a deeper understanding of how economic factor can impact credit risk and overall business performance.
Connect every research output to commercial outcomes: which CBC products it strengthens, which client segments it serves, and how it translates into pipeline, revenue, retention, or pricing power.
Work hand-in-hand with Product, Marketing, and Sales to convert research insights into client-facing assets-white papers, webinar content, conference talks, and sales enablement material that win business.
Identify monetizable research products (paid subscriptions, sponsored studies, custom analytics for member institutions) and develop business cases for new revenue streams.
Track research-driven commercial KPIs alongside scholarly KPIs: media mentions, citations by NBC and member institutions, conversions to product sales, and partnership wins.
Prepare regular reports on economic developments and forecasts for stakeholders.
Deliver presentations to internal teams, including senior management, to communicate economic insights and forecasts.
Translate complex data and analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
Support strategic decision-making by offering economic perspectives and risk assessments.
Contribute to the development and refinement of credit risk manage.
