SGC is legally independent of Smiling Gecko Switzerland.
Following its mission of “Cambodians helping Cambodians” the organization, focuses on fighting the causes of poverty and helping people to help themselves.Roles and Responsibilities:<ul class="job-detail-req"><li class="indent-0">Lead, supervise, and provide technical guidance to the Social Work team to ensure effective delivery of student welfare and family support services.</li><li class="indent-0">Develop, implement, and monitor social work policies, procedures, and case management systems in accordance with organizational and child protection standards.</li><li class="indent-0">Oversee the identification, assessment, and support of students and families facing social, emotional, behavioral, financial, or protection-related challenges.</li><li class="indent-0">Ensure timely and appropriate responses to child protection concerns, safeguarding issues, abuse allegations, neglect, gender-based violence, and other high-risk cases.</li><li class="indent-0">Lead case management processes, including risk assessments, intervention planning, referrals, follow-up actions, and case reviews.</li><li class="indent-0">Coordinate with school leadership, teachers, and support staff to develop and implement learning and behavioral support strategies for students requiring additional assistance.</li><li class="indent-0">Conduct or oversee home visits, family assessments, and community outreach activities to strengthen student and family support.</li><li class="indent-0">Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and psychosocial support services or ensure appropriate referrals to specialized service providers.</li><li class="indent-0">Collaborate with the Front Office and academic teams to monitor student attendance, engagement, retention, and overall wellbeing.</li><li class="indent-0">Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, guardians, government agencies, NGOs, healthcare providers, and community partners to support students and families.</li><li class="indent-0">Develop and implement preventive programs, awareness campaigns, and training related to child protection, safeguarding, mental health, positive parenting, and violence prevention.</li><li class="indent-0">Monitor department performance, analyze case trends, and prepare regular reports, recommendations, and updates for school management.</li><li class="indent-0">Ensure proper documentation, confidentiality, and secure management of all student and family records.</li><li class="indent-0">Manage departmental budgets, resources, work plans, and annual objectives to ensure efficient operations.</li><li class="indent-0">Facilitate capacity-building and professional development opportunities for social work staff and relevant school personnel.</li><li class="indent-0">Advocate for the rights, protection, and wellbeing of children and vulnerable families in accordance with national laws and organizational values.</li><li class="indent-0">Represent the school in meetings, networks, and partnerships related to social work, safeguarding, and child welfare initiatives.</li><li class="indent-0">Perform other duties as assigned by the School Director or senior management.</li></ul>Key Requirements (skills, knowledge experience & qualification): <div class="key-list" style="flex-grow: 1; margin-top: 5px;"><ul class="job-detail-req"><li>Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Community Development, or a related field.</li><li>Experience in social work, counseling, child protection, or community development for 5 years as a minimum</li><li>At least of experience in a supervisory or leadership role for 2 years</li><li>Experience working with children, vulnerable families, schools, NGOs, or community-based programs.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing complex child protection and case management situations.</li><li>Sound knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, crisis intervention, gender-based violence, and case management practices.</li><li>Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.</li><li>Strong written and spoken English and Khmer communication skills.</li></ul></div><div class="js-area-heading" style="text-align: justify;"><div class="js-area-heading">Please send CV and cover letter to Email:      recruitment@smilinggecko-cambodia.org Phone:    016740883 Website:  http://www.smilinggecko.ch/en Please mention "www.Cambodiajobs.Biz" where you saw the ad when you apply!  </div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer">Moreinfo: http://cambodiajobs.blogspot.com</div>.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Community Development, related field.
Experience social work, counseling, child protection, community development for 5 years as a minimum At least experience a supervisory leadership role for 2 years Experience working with children, vulnerable families, schools, NGOs, community-based programs.
Demonstrated experience managing complex child protection case management situations.
Sound knowledge child protection, safeguarding, crisis intervention, gender-based violence, case management practices.
Strong organizational, planning, project management skills.
Proficiency Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Strong written spoken English Khmer communication skills.
