About the role

Prepare, review, and oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable local accounting standards.
Ensure all financial reporting requirements are met for internal stakeholders, clients, regulatory bodies, and shareholders.
Utilize XERO or QuickBooks accounting software to fulfill client-specific financial needs.
Oversee the preparation and submission of tax filings, including VAT, Profit Tax, and Withholding Tax (WHT), ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations.
Act as the primary liaison with tax authorities and auditors, addressing inquiries and managing audit processes efficiently.
Develop and implement comprehensive financial and accounting policies tailored to each client’s operational needs.
Conduct periodic risk assessments to safeguard the accuracy and reliability of financial data and reports.
Manage, mentor, and support the accounting team to promote continuous professional development and high performance.
Delegate tasks effectively and review the quality and accuracy of work completed by team members.
Coordinate and manage both internal and external audits to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Respond to audit findings by implementing corrective actions and process improvements.
Serve as a trusted financial advisor to clients, offering tailored accounting and financial consultancy services.
Provide expert solutions for complex accounting matters while ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
Experience in financial reporting, tax filings, and audits.
Proficiency in XERO or QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
