About the role

Acquire and onboard medium loan clients, analyze and process their loan applications by conducting credit investigations, scoring, credit checking, and other underwriting activities to ensure good lending and loan quality.
Maintain existing and build new medium clients in accordance with medium loan policies and procedures to ensure secured loans.
Collect all clients’ required documents for loan application to verify their eligibility.
Gather valid applicants’ financial records by obtaining and compiling copies of clients’ credit histories, medium financial statements, and other financial information.
Conduct credit investigation to analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, property evaluations, and repayment capacity to determine feasibility of granting loans.
Conduct a site visit during loan assessment process to obtain in-depth information concerning the purpose of the loan application and ensure sufficient and acceptable customer security.
Process and prepare Credit Appraisal Report including detailed loan appraisal write-up and detailed financial analysis of the clients for loan approval.
Explain to clients the different types of loans and credit options available, as well as the terms of those services for further cross-selling.
Make regular site visits to existing customers to determine whether the loan should stay the same or be upgraded/downgraded due to the actual condition of their loan collateral and/or financial situation, as well as to develop relationships with customers for further cross-selling.
Closely monitor recommended/processed loans for timely repayment and ensure Portfolio At Risk remains within acceptable levels.
Liaise closely with Head Office to follow up on all post-disbursement conditions and financial covenants and ensure full compliance.
Follow up delinquent clients immediately and refer such cases to the supervisor to proactively handle the branch loan portfolio.
Discuss credit-related issues and loan packaging to provide sound financial advice and tailored solutions for the clients, as well as to take the opportunity to cross-sell other banking products.
Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet customer needs.
Handle complex customers’ issues or complaints whenever Medium Loan Officers could not by remaining calm and executing excellent customer service principles to find an amicable solution for all and process to higher authority if needed.
Resolve team routine and complex issues to maintain productivity and morale.
Act as a role model within the team to question, listen and give actionable feedback carefully in order to create a productive atmosphere towards a “speak up culture”.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance and banking, accounting, or any relevant field.
Minimum two years of experience in banking and financial services industry with a strong track record in granting loans.
Excellent knowledge of the bank branch operations, rules and regulations, laws, granting loans, and credit risk management.
Excellent sales skills, customer relationship building, and networking.
Excellent customer service, client relationship management, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Credit evaluation and analysis skills with insights related to medium loans in the Cambodian context.
Ability to use and communicate in both Khmer and English.
Good Microsoft Office and Bank’s software.
Good math skills and ability to spot numerical errors.
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skill.
Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.
