ABOUT THE COMPANY A rapidly growing, high-performance business entity expanding its footprint across Cambodia’s modern commercial sector through international-standard corporate practices. ABOUT THE ROLE Chief Accountant will lead the finance team in managing daily accounting operations, ensuring strict GDT tax and CIFRS compliance, and delivering accurate financial insights to executive leadership. WHAT YOU WILL DO Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statement preparation. Supervise the accurate calculation, preparation, and timely submission of all monthly and annual statutory tax returns to the General Department of Taxation (GDT). Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and banking partners during reviews and audits. Monitor daily cash flow movements, manage working capital, and prepare periodic cash flow forecasts for management. Develop, implement, and enforce robust internal accounting policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and drive the optimization or implementation of accounting software and ERP systems. Oversee the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate depreciation calculations and proper tracking of company inventory and properties. Mentor, train, and manage junior accounting staff to build departmental capacity and maintain a high-performance culture.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; active enrollment or completion of ACCA/CPA qualification is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 to 3 years in a senior or supervisory role. Deep understanding of Cambodian tax laws, GDT filing procedures, and Cambodian International Financial Reporting Standards (CIFRS). Advanced proficiency in localized accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero) and strong Microsoft Excel capabilities. Professional fluency in both written and spoken English and Khmer to effectively handle corporate documentation and regulatory correspondence. Exceptional analytical skills, sharp attention to detail, strong leadership capabilities, and high professional integrity.
