About the role

Acquire and onboard large loan clients, analyze and process loan applications through credit investigations, scoring, credit checking, and underwriting activities to ensure good lending and loan quality.
Maintain existing and build new client pools according to credit policy and procedure guidelines.
Discuss credit-related issues and loan packaging to provide sound financial advice and tailored solutions, and cross-sell other banking products.
Collect required documents from clients for loan application processing to verify their eligibility.
Gather valid applicants’ financial records by obtaining and compiling copies of clients’ credit histories, large financial statements, and other financial information to prevent fraud.
Conduct site visits at clients’ premises and proffered collaterals during loan assessment to obtain in-depth information regarding the soundness of their business and the purpose of the loan application, ensuring sufficient and acceptable security.
Verify documents and ensure the authenticity and completeness of documents received from borrowers.
Process and prepare Credit Appraisal Reports, including detailed loan appraisal write-ups and financial analysis of clients for submission to higher authority for loan approval.
Execute loan contracts and arrange timely and accurate loan disbursements to meet client needs and satisfaction.
Conduct regular site visits to existing clients to determine the actual conditions of their business and loan collateral, and to develop client relationships as part of retention strategies.
Conduct annual reviews/renewals of facilities in a timely manner to gain an updated overview and manage the portfolio effectively.
Closely monitor recommended/processed loans for timely repayment and ensure Portfolio At Risk remains within acceptable levels.
Work closely with Head Office to follow up on all post-disbursement conditions and financial covenants, ensuring full compliance.
Follow up with delinquent clients immediately and refer cases to higher authority for active handling of the Branch’s loan portfolio.
Handle complex client issues or complaints to find amicable solutions and escalate to higher authority if needed.
Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet customer needs.
Act as a role model within the team by questioning, listening, and giving actionable feedback carefully to create a productive atmosphere and foster a "speak up culture".

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance and banking, accounting, or any relevant field.
Minimum two years of relevant experiences in banking and financial services industry with a strong track record in credit function.
In-depth knowledge of bank branch operations, rules and regulations, laws, loans, and credit risk management.
Excellent sales skills, customer relationship building, and networking.
Excellent customer service, client relationship management, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstration of critical thinking, professional communication, assertiveness, and team dynamics.
Credit evaluation and analysis skills with extensive insights related to large loans in the Cambodian context.
Financial literacy and ability to interpret and analyze financial statements (audited and/or management reports) of clients to assess repayment capacity and financial soundness.
Good judgment and common sense with both qualitative and quantitative tools to provide sound and comprehensive analysis/evaluation on complex credit applications.
