About the role
- To deliver high-quality, compliant IT asset records and stock information through automated, analytics-driven quality assurance across the IT asset lifecycle.
- To oversees IT asset record management within approved systems, driving the use of automation, analytics, and modern technologies to strengthen control effectiveness and reduce manual effort.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets, including inventory, transfer, decommissioning, and disposal.
- Ensure an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets.
- Manage surplus equipment in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Perform data benchmarking using all necessary documents and resources.
- Facilitate and support the use of modern technologies, including advanced analytics and machine-assisted techniques, to strengthen early detection of discrepancies, and control gaps.
- Provide advance notifications to asset owners regarding license expirations.
- Support the provision of inventory data and tracking information to related stakeholders.
- Create and generate inventory reports using automated and analytics-enabled reporting solutions regarding IT assets inventory.
- Collaborate with asset owners to conduct inventory reviews.
- Conduct regular audits and asset reviews.
- Ensure consistent application of asset management policies and procedures; identify gaps between policies and actual practices and escalate findings for remediation.
- Ensure timely follow-up and implementation of audit recommendations and action plans.
- Establish and maintain effective collaboration with IT, business units, HR, Finance, Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance teams.
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to resolve systemic issues and enhance control environments.
- Provide training and support to quality assurance team members to comply with policies, procedures, and core processes.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and support to team members to promote a professional and productive work environment.
- Handle tasks assigned by the Line Manager or Division Head.
- Report on all assigned areas to the Line Manager or Division Head.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Information Security, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or minimum of 2 years in IT Asset Management quality assurance within the BFI industry segment.
- Experience working with data analytics, automation, or intelligent tools to support data-driven decision-making and quality assurance is a strong advantage.
- Ability to understand and operate within corporate principles, processes, and best practices.
- Experience with asset management systems and tools, including understanding of lifecycle management principles, is a plus.
- Experience with commonly used types of IT equipment is a plus.
- Experience with audit processes and remediation efforts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and work with automated or analytics-driven tools to support quality assurance activities.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Well organized, able to self-manage a variety of responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts to colleagues.
- Skill in people leadership and supervision.
- Strong crisis management capabilities and ability to act decisively under pressure.
- Ability to work nights and weekends in the event of a crisis.
- Computer skills: working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) required; experience working with advanced data, automation, or AI-assisted tools (e.g. analytics platforms, intelligent reporting, or similar technologies) is a strong advantage.
