• The Librarian plays a crucial role in managing the school library, fostering a love for reading among students, coordinating library classes, and working closely with academic assistants, teachers, and other program stakeholders to support the school's literacy goals.
• Manage the daily operations, organization, and maintenance of the school library environment; Coordinate and monitor the schedule and attendance of library classes across different programs; Curate, catalog, and manage the inventory of library books, digital resources, textbooks, and supplementary learning materials; Assist teachers and students in selecting appropriate reading materials to support the curriculum and literacy development; Collaborate with academic assistants and teachers from other programs to integrate library resources into classroom learning; Call and communicate with parents regarding lost or damaged books, library events, and reading initiatives; Work closely with the Leadership Team and teachers to ensure continuous improvement of library services and program quality; Collaborate with Marketing and other departments to promote school library events, book fairs, and reading programs; Work closely with the Front Desk to handle parent complaints, advice, and suggestions regarding library services; Assists in implementing student orientation and registration activities, particularly library onboarding; Acts to upgrade own professional knowledge and skills in library science and modern educational resources; Assists to define and disseminate information about school library policies, procedures, and borrowing rules to parents, students, and academic staff; Promotes and maintains open communications, positive student attitudes, and respects the dignity and worth of academic staff and students; Assists in the completion of records, weekly library reports, and regular inventory audits of library equipment and materials; Other tasks assigned by the School Principal.
