About the role

The Procurement Officer is responsible for the day-to-day procurement activities within the company, focusing on acquiring IT-related products and services.
This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating price and terms, and ensuring that all procurement activities meet the company’s quality and cost standards.
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of procurement processes, particularly within the IT sector, and will be capable of handling multiple tasks effectively.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors for IT hardware, software, and services.
Maintain and update a database of approved suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including issuing purchase orders, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and ensure alignment with the company’s technology goals.
Ensure all procurement activities are documented and comply with company policies and procedures.
Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
Ensure all contracts meet legal and regulatory requirements, and are aligned with company policies.
Monitor and manage procurement costs to ensure adherence to the budget.
Identify opportunities for cost savings through effective sourcing and negotiation strategies Ensure that all procured products and services meet the required quality standards.
Address any issues with suppliers promptly to maintain the quality of goods and services.
Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier correspondence.
Provide regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance to management.
Market sourcing and researching on the new suppliers and the new products line in the market to be able to support the business.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the IT industry.
Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
