About the role

Manage and oversee an assigned micro loan team by ensuring the established micro loan policies are followed and service quality standards are achieved.
Evaluate, authorize, and recommend approval of micro loan applications through having precise knowledge of banking rules, regulations, micro loan policies, and procedures.
Drive and monitor all Micro Loan KPIs to ensure achievement of targets.
Drive team to achieve individual performance targets and overcome challenges through regular pipeline meetings.
Provide continuous performance coaching and monitoring of micro loan personnel to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Monitor team activities such as designing tasks, assigned duties, responsibilities, coaching, and performance review to maintain stable operations.
Take the lead in promoting the Bank’s micro loan products, particularly in conducting customer orientation to improve the quality of the Bank’s micro loan portfolio.
Conduct site visits to customers’ properties in accordance with the bank’s policy to ensure proper granting of loans.
Review all micro loan applications thoroughly to prevent any loan application fraud.
Manage late payments and micro loan defaults by consistently providing the team with professional methodologies to follow up, re-evaluate, and restructure clients’ loans.
Work closely with the loan recovery team to ensure successful recovery of loans.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly micro loan disbursement reports, and conduct daily monitoring of accounts to maintain the branch’s positive cash flow and proactively handle the team’s micro loan portfolio.
Ensure the team writes down and clearly explains payment terms and conditions in the contract, including late fees, to clients to timely collect all loan payments and minimize client defaults.
Report and update the line manager on any activities and status of loan products, as well as problems and issues encountered during the implementation of the Bank’s micro loan policies to improve the branch’s quality loan portfolio.
Ensure 100% actual verification and validation of micro loan applications and accounts for better internal control purposes.
Give constructive feedback to improve the branch’s operational policy and guidelines.
Handle complex customer issues whenever Micro Loan Officers cannot, by remaining calm and executing excellent customer service principles to find an amicable solution for all.
Resolve team routine and complex issues to maintain productivity and morale.
Act as a role model within the team to question, listen, and give actionable feedback carefully to create a productive atmosphere towards a “speak up culture”.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance and banking, accounting, or any relevant field.
Minimum two years of experience in banking and financial services industry with a strong track record in granting loans plus one year of supervisory experience.
Excellent knowledge of bank branch operations, rules, and regulations, laws, granting loans, and credit risk management.
Good financial analysis and reporting skills.
Ability to use and communicate in both Khmer and English.
Proficient Microsoft Office and Bank’s software.
Excellent sales and customer service skills.
Good math skills and ability to spot numerical errors.
Good team leadership, management, problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.
