About the role

Employ Bioinformatics methods, programming, data science, machine learning, AI and other IT technologies and methods to the analysis of biological sequences, with applications to scientific research on infection diseases.
Contribute to the preparation of figures, reports, presentations, and scientific publications.
Design, implement, test scientific data analysis.
Perform quantitative, statistical, and qualitative analyses of scientific data, with particular emphasis on DNA and RNA sequencing data generated using next-generation sequencing technologies.
Develop and execute reproducible bioinformatics analyses using command-line tools, Python, and flow management systems such as Nextflow.
Analyse single-cell RNA sequencing data using established tools and pipelines, primarily in R.
Work closely with biologists, clinicians, and other scientists to define analysis strategies, interpret results, and communicate findings.
