ABOUT THE ROLE Senior Android Engineer is a key technical contributor responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality native applications while ensuring product performance, security, and mentorship for junior team members. WHAT YOU WILL DO Design and build scalable native Android applications using Kotlin and Java, ensuring seamless data flow through robust API integrations. Lead the design of modular app architectures, enforce clean coding principles, and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure long-term maintainability. Partner with UI/UX designers and QA teams to deliver intuitive, responsive interfaces and ensure smooth, high-quality release cycles. Research and implement modern frameworks, optimize memory and battery usage, and continuously improve code speed and reusability. Foster a culture of excellence by providing mentorship to junior developers, maintaining technical documentation, and facilitating knowledge sharing within the team.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mobile Development, or a related field. 3–5 years of proven experience in Android development utilizing Kotlin and Java. Strong expertise in Android SDK, Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room), MVVM architecture, Clean Architecture, and Dagger Hilt. Experience with RESTful APIs, Firebase services, and offline data management (SQLite/Room). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Gradle, GitLab, or Jenkins) and professional code review workflows. Strong understanding of app security, performance profiling, and effective debugging, complemented by excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
