• Provide effective supervision and oversight of an assigned small loan team, ensuring established policies are followed and service quality standards are achieved.
• Evaluate, authorize, and recommend approval of small loan applications.
• Exercise direct supervision over small loan personnel to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Monitor team activities such as assigning duties, responsibilities, coaching, and performance review.
• Take the lead in promoting the Bank’s small loan products, particularly in conducting customer orientation to improve the quality of the Bank’s small loan portfolio.
• Conduct site visits to customers’ properties in accordance with the bank’s policy to ensure proper granting of loans.
• Review thoroughly all small loan applications to prevent any loan application fraud.
• Manage late payment and small loan defaults by consistently providing the team with professional methodologies to follow up, re-evaluate, and restructure clients’ loans.
• Work closely with the loan recovery team to ensure successful recovery of loans.
• Drive the team to achieve each individual performance target and overcome challenges in their own areas through regular pipeline meetings.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly small loan disbursement reports, and conduct daily monitoring of accounts to maintain the branch’s positive cash flow.
• Ensure the team clearly explains payment terms and conditions in the contract, including late fees, to clients to ensure timely loan payments and minimize client default.
• Report and update the line manager on any activities and status of loan products, as well as problems and issues encountered during the implementation of the Bank’s small loan policies.
• Conduct 100% actual verification and validation of small loan applications and accounts for better internal control purposes.
• Give constructive feedback to improve the branch’s operational policy and guidelines.
• Handle complex customer issues when Small Loan Officers cannot, by remaining calm and executing excellent customer service principles to find amicable solutions.
• Resolve team routine and complex issues to maintain productivity and morale.
• Act as a role model within the team to question, listen, and give actionable feedback carefully to create a productive atmosphere towards a “speak up culture”.

Bachelor’s degree in finance and banking, accounting, or any relevant field; Minimum two years of relevant experience in banking and financial services industry with a strong track record in granting loans; Excellent knowledge of bank branch operations, rules and regulations, laws, granting loans, and credit risk management; Ability to use and communicate in both Khmer and English; Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bank’s software; Excellent sales and customer services skills; Good math skills and ability to spot numerical errors; Good team leadership, management, problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.
