About the role

Plan weekly teaching lessons and lead teaching according to the students' actual ability and understanding.
Implement active and participatory teaching methods, incorporating activities such as reading, thinking, playing, and drawing to make learning engaging.
Create and innovate learning aids (teaching materials, educational games, and drawings) to encourage active student participation.
Provide special support for slow learners or children with special needs, using flexible methods tailored to each child.
Create a safe, friendly, inclusive, and age-appropriate learning environment for children.
Promote positive discipline, mutual respect, and good habits in the classroom regularly.
Adhere strictly to child protection principles and work ethics.
Maintain and manage classroom materials, environment, and atmosphere to ensure hygiene, order, and safety at all times.
Record student attendance regularly and follow up on absences to respond promptly.
Regularly assess children's progress in Khmer language, mathematics, and art through quizzes and practical observations.
Collaborate with project staff in measuring children's height, weight, and monitoring their health/nutritional status monthly.
Record and prepare student progress reports or address any challenges to the Project Manager within deadlines.
Build close relationships and communicate regularly with parents/guardians in cases of student absence, challenges, or to share children's progress.
Participate in technical meetings and various training sessions organized by the unit/project to further develop skills.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested by the direct supervisor according to the unit/project's actual needs.

Requirements

Fluency in Khmer is essential.
Basic level in English is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or Sociology is essential.
2 years of practical teaching preparation and actual teaching experience in NGO and community development is essential.
