• Process and analyze small loan applications by conducting credit investigations, scoring, credit checking, and other underwriting activities to ensure good lending and loan quality.
• Coach, mentor, and train less experienced Small Loan Officers and new comers to ensure all operational support and lending functions are accurately performed in accordance with the Bank’s small loan policies and government and NBC regulations.
• Solicit both potentially existing and new clients according to guidelines to ensure secured loans.
• On-board new small loans to ensure delivery of disbursement target.
• Explain to clients the different types of loans and credit options available, as well as service terms for cross-selling.
• Collect all required client documents for loan application to ensure eligibility for approval.
• Conduct credit investigation to analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, property evaluations, and repayment capacity to determine loan feasibility.
• Gather valid applicants’ financial records by obtaining and compiling copies of clients’ credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.
• Conduct a site visit during the loan assessment process to obtain in-depth information regarding the loan application purpose and ensure sufficient and acceptable loan security.
• Make regular site visits to existing customers to determine if the loan should stay the same or be downgraded due to collateral or financial situation, and to develop customer relationships for further cross-selling.
• Follow up delinquent clients immediately and refer such cases to the supervisor to proactively handle the branch loan portfolio.
• Process registration of title deeds at the local authority and land office to acquire legal evidence of the client’s ownership rights of the property.
• Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products to better meet customer needs.
• Handle complex customer issues when Micro Loan Officers cannot by remaining calm and executing excellent customer service principles to find an amicable solution for all.
• Resolve team routine and complex issues to maintain productivities and morale.
• Act as a role model within the team by questioning, listening, and giving actionable feedback carefully to create a productive atmosphere towards a “speak up culture”.

Bachelor’s degree in finance and banking, accounting or any relevant field; Minimum two years of experience in banking and financial services industry with a strong track record in granting loans; Excellent knowledge of bank branch operations, rules and regulations, laws, granting loans, and credit risk management; Ability to use and communicate in both Khmer and English; Proficient Microsoft Office and Bank’s software; Good sales and customer services skills; Good math skills and ability to spot numerical errors; Good problem solving, negotiation and internal skill; Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.
