About the role
- Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Develop students’ mathematical understanding, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching and provide targeted support.
- Prepare students for Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE examinations where applicable.
- Create a classroom environment that encourages active participation and independent learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Lead and coordinate STEAM Club and enrichment activities.
- Organise and prepare students for academic competitions such as SASMO, SIMOC, ICIA, Quiz Bee and other local and international events.
- Support project-based learning, innovation activities and academic showcases.
- Support the development of cross-curricular STEAM opportunities across the Primary and Secondary phases.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and enrichment opportunities.
- Contribute actively to school events, initiatives, educational visits and wider school programmes.
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education or a related field
Teaching certification, licence or qualification.
- Experience teaching Mathematics, preferably within the Cambridge curriculum framework.
- Experience teaching within an international school setting is desirable.
- Experience coordinating STEAM activities, clubs or academic competitions is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students both inside and outside the classroom.
