About the role

The role of a teacher in the Secondary is to support the academic and socio-emotional growth of students.
Exhibit a commitment to the school's Mission and Vision, curriculum, teaching and learning philosophy, including assessment and pedagogy.
Provide a learning environment that includes all students.
Promote diverse representation of our student body in the department-wide curriculum.
Actively contribute to the Advisory Programme through Home Group pastoral care and teaching the formal Advisory that addresses student health and well-being.
Present a positive image at all times, as an ambassador for the school and the IB.
Contribute to the development, documentation and delivery of the curriculum in homeroom or single subjects.
Advocate and support the academic progress and pastoral care of all students.
Contribute to a positive, open and supportive teaching and learning environment.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and administration.
Engage with the appraisal process and continual professional development, in all its forms.

Requirements

Undergraduate Degree Master's Degree in the subject area Certification as a Secondary Teacher (for example, Bachelor or Education, Graduate Diploma in Education or the equivalent) Fluency and accuracy in English (oral and written) Familiar with the use of email, spreadsheets, and Google Suite software.
Effective communication and excellent interal skills Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
