Khmer Ocean Life Project Assistant

• Assist in the implementation of the Cambodian Marine Mammal Bycatch and Stranding Net.
• Assist with the implementation of ongoing bycatch mitigation trials.
• Conduct social science surveys, such as questionnaires.
• Report writing and dissemination of findings.
• Data collection and entry.
• Assist with project administration and finances.
• Help liaise with community members and government officials.
• Assist outreach and training events for fishers and fishing community members.
• Support existing and new stakeholder relationships.
• Uphold organisation values.
• Other responsibilities as identified.

Field and data collection skills Strong organisational, time-management, and communication skills Ability to both independently and in a team Computer literacy Creativity, proactiveness, and willingness to contribute new ideas Motivation to learn new skills and make a positive impact Interest in Cambodia’s marine mammals Ability to travel for field Fluency in English and Khmer (fluency desired, but basic is essential) University degree in science or a related field (desired but not essential) Driver’s license (desired but not essential)
