Ratanak International is seeking for a therapist.
This position will provide therapeutic support to survivors and lead them positively through trauma and achieve their improvement in emotional well-being.
Announcement Positions Therapist WORKPLACE CIRCUMSTANCES ENVIRONMENT: Office LANGUAGES: English, Khmer LOCATION: Phnom Penh POSITION CIRCUMSTANCES CAREER CATEGORY: Health/Medical, Social Work SCHEDULE: Full-time SALARY: $540 POSITION SUMMARY Hours of work: 40 hours/week (Travel and overnight stays in provinces 8-15 days/month) Job Purpose and Brief: Job Purpose: To provide therapeutic support to survivors and lead them positively through trauma and achieve their improvement in emotional well-being.
Job Brief: Therapists focus on addressing the emotional needs of survivors within a trauma-informed care approach.
They are responsible for assessing survivors and their families in this area and providing a range of therapeutic interventions to support healing and recovery.
This involves working closely with the direct care team and case managers to improve survivors’ well-being.
This role is to promote strong trauma-informed care practices among all staff and contribute to the project achievement goal through coordination, work plans, and reporting.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Overseeing the cases assigned by the therapy supervisor and keeping the cases accountable with their progress and update regularly, following the internal monitoring guide.
Data tracking is well prepared and noted weekly for report purposes.
Update the highlight, challenge, and solution and propose changes during the team meeting and in line with Terms of Reference (ToR) in Ratanak.
Facilitate the assigned case by providing the survivors' needs through the treatment plan and processing their emotional transformation and traumatized journey.
Ensure that all cases are identified by their symptoms via the psycho-assessment and consent before the early plan begins.
Provide therapy treatment as individual, group, and family support services regularly in line with the internal guidelines, procedures, and model of practice.
Lead the case conference to evaluate the case progress and update the relevant team and seek final support from line management.
Ensure that the implementation of adjustments to procedures and regulations is applied accordingly and approved.
Coordinate joint planning, travelling and case monitoring according to the agreed action plan.
Open to accepting any task assigned by line management within the project SCOP.
Coordinate and support the project team for the best interest of survivors.
Aware of weekend tasks that are required once a month for the therapy session and support the team.
Coordinate and deliver psycho-assessments of survivors' needs and assessments of family/ community situations with respect to emotional and social issues.
Ensure that planned interventions involving other staff or agencies are carried out, supporting survivors with legal, police, and other meetings as required.
Actively engage with partner agencies who provide therapeutic services, including coordination meetings and regular updates.
Address any gaps in survivor care and services.
Engage in ongoing personal development to ensure best practice in therapeutic work and management of self and workload.

WORK HISTORY: Experience working with traumatized people and know how to apply the practical counselling tools for 3 years as a minimum Experience working with survivors of trafficking for 2 years as a minimum Leading group and family therapy with initiative tools for 1 year as a minimum SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: General & Technical Skills Relevant professional training or certification in counselling, psychotherapy, or trauma care.
Experience working under pressure and positively addressing issues Experience working with NGOs/Mental Health Clinics.
Educated in the use of PC and social platforms.
Psychosocial and emotional assessment and case planning.
Individual and group counselling/therapy using appropriate the.
