About the role

Protect the bank's security from cyber threats by identifying and hunting for emerging threat activity across all sources.
Apply industrial expertise to understand attacker tactics in order to translate them to security detection content.
Assess cyber threat intelligence, open-source intelligence, and partner reporting.
Provide security recommendations to remediate security gaps based on hunting data and threat landscape.
Actively research and maintain awareness of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, attacks, and security trends.
Identify and prioritize new data sources and their applicability to the detection of advanced adversaries.
Modify logic of existing detections to reduce false-positive rates and increase efficacy.
Collaborate with related teams on platform enhancements to further enable rapid and effective threat hunting.
Map security content to industry-wide frames and standards like MITRE ATT&CK, STIX, TAXII, and SCAP.
Build, evolve, and expand hunting tooling, techniques, and use-cases.
Ensure that all documents, flows, and processes remain accurate and up to date.
Assist in remediation of critical information security incidents.
Collaborate across teams for knowledge transfer, development opportunities, and service improvement.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a professional Intrusion Detection or Incident Response role.
Certification in BTL2, THP, CISSP, GIAC, CEH, CISA, CISP, or equivalent.
Expertise in net, host, and cloud-based analysis and investigation.
Demonstrated expertise in cloud security, telemetry, and attack techniques.
Demonstrated experience planning and executing threat hunt missions.
Expertise with operation of both Windows and Linux based systems.
Proficient with scripting s such as Python or PowerShell.
Experience with exploratory data analysis and/or machine learning.
Proficiency in identifying cyber-attack campaigns.
Deep curiosity and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
