About the role

Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
Design, implement, and maintain high-volume, low-latency Java-based applications.
Develop and expose RESTful APIs for backend services.
Design, create, and maintain databases.
Analyze user requirements to define objectives.
Envision and implement system features and functionalities.
Ensure application designs align with goals.
Develop, test, and debug software.
Identify and resolve technical issues.
Create detailed design documentation.
Recommend improvements to existing Java infrastructure.
Develop technical designs for applications.
Build multimedia applications.
Write clean, testable, and well-structured code.
Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
Prepare user documentation.
Translate requirements into technical specifications.
Manage software releases.
Support continuous improvement by exploring alternatives and presenting them for architectural review.
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality.
Other assignments and tasks assigned by line manager.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a backend developer or in a similar role.
Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices.
Familiarity with web server technologies (e.g., Node.js, Apache, Nginx, IIS).
Knowledge of authentication and authorization across systems and environments.
Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.
Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into a unified system.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to independently and in a team.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
