About the role

Establish and enforce engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across systems and applications.
Monitor system health, availability, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure reliable service delivery.
Identify and optimize critical services, application bottlenecks, and slow-performing endpoints to enhance system performance and scalability.
Implement and maintain resilience mechanisms, including timeouts, retries, and other fault-tolerance strategies.
Develop, maintain, and regularly test disaster recovery (DR) and high-availability (HA) solutions to ensure continuity.
Maintain up-to-date policies, procedures, technical documentation, and supporting evidence to meet operational and compliance requirements.
Track, manage, and resolve audit findings within agreed timelines, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
Mentor and support software developers by fostering continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and career development.
Lead resource planning activities, provide coaching, and support team performance and growth.
Enforce secure access controls and credential management practices in accordance with security policies and industry standards.
Enhance security monitoring, logging capabilities, and incident response processes to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Requirements

Minimum 8 years of experience in backend software development, including at least 3 years in a development management or team leadership role.
Pruven experience ing with core financial systems, as well as strong knowledge of CI/CD practices, the testing pyramid, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) fundamentals.
Hands-on experience designing and maintaining microservices architectures, databases, and messaging systems, with a solid understanding of security best practices, application performance optimization, and performance tuning.
Demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability, with strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and stakeholders.
User-centric mindset with the ability to effectively in cross-functional and collaborative environments.
Experience fostering a coaching and feedback-driven culture, supporting team development and continuous improvement.
Good physical and mental well-being, with the ability to effectively manage load, handle production incidents, and participate in an on-call rotation when required.
