About the role

Responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping, accounts, procurement support and control, effective financial reporting, and general administrative or operational duties.
This includes handling all payment processing and cash handling, preparing payment requests, monitoring and recording financial transactions, managing petty cash, and conducting cash counts.
The role also involves preparing monthly cashbooks, cash advances, and reconciliations, as well as reviewing and verifying cash vouchers and supporting documents.
You will also update monthly expenses by cost center and donor, and support with compiling data for management and audit purposes.
Responsibilities extend to supporting with purchase orders and processing related payments for procurement, assisting with vendor/supplier contract renewals, and maintaining vendor/supplier records.
Additionally, the role involves preparing and submitting monthly and annual tax declarations, ensuring compliance with Cambodian tax regulations, and maintaining supporting documentation for tax filings.
You will monitor changes in Cambodia tax legislation, advise management on implications, and ensure timely payment of taxes.
Liaising with GDT during audits or tax-related queries and supporting management with tax planning and optimization are also key duties.
Ensure all financial operations, contracts, and procurement activities are aligned with legal tax regulations and assist in preparing reports for internal and external audits related to tax and regulatory compliance.
Other tasks assigned by line manager, PM, DPM are also part of the role.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration, or related field is preferred.
Relevant experience in finance and administration, ideally with an NGO(s) for 3 years as a minimum.
Knowledge of tax declaration and compliance in Cambodia.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and accounting software.
Good written and spoken English.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
