About the role

Steer and implement climate change mitigation and adaptation interventions for the GIZ Cluster “Climate, Energy and Just Transition,” including climate finance and carbon market components.
Support the strategic expansion of the Cluster’s climate portfolio, including the development of high-quality concept notes.
Provide advisory support to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) on climate change mitigation and adaptation, contributing to the institutional strengthening of the Climate Change Office.
Advise MAFF on the development, implementation, reporting, and monitoring of climate-related policies, strategies, plans, and programs in the agricultural sector.
Lead and coordinate the Cluster’s carbon market activities, including the design and establishment of financing mechanisms for voluntary carbon market initiatives and for government-to-government transfers under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
Support the Cluster in policy development, advise and coordination in partnership with MAFF and MoC.
Deliver targeted analyses and solution opt.
