National Intern for ISPH-II

Location: Phnom Penh

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a federally owned enterprise and is supporting the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.

GIZ Cambodia's ISPH-II Project focuses on strengthening the foundations of social protection and health system in Cambodia. The project's objective is that “the prerequisites for better access to social protection and quality assured health services in Cambodia have improved with regard to responsiveness to climate related risks, gender-responsiveness, inclusiveness and poverty reduction.”.

• Support the PSE team in preparing and delivering activities (e.g., workshops, training) related to implementation of CBE in classroom, simulation, and clinical learning environments at health sciences training institutions
• Assist the PSE team in reviewing existing national standards for nursing program accreditation and contribute to the development, consultative processes, coordination, and field testing of program accreditation standards in collaboration with relevant counterparts
• Support student engagement, gender-related and capacity-building activities through initiatives, workshop coordination, communication, documentation, and administrative assistance.
• Carry out other project-related tasks assigned by the supervisor

• Undergraduate Degree in the final year of, or recently graduated from, a bachelor's or associate degree in nursing or other relevant health sciences fields such as pharmacy, midwifery, medical laboratory technology, public health, or allied health sciences.
• Strong interest in improving health professions education, especially in nursing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Khmer and English
• Familiarity in standard MS Office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
