About the role

  • Conduct Annual Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) for KOICA Project Phase III.
  • Assess and report on children's learning outcome indicators in accordance with the E2L Phase III Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Frame and EGRA standards.
  • Findings will be disaggregated by sex, grade, disability status, intervention/control s, and ethnic background (with particular attention to Cham students) to identify disparities and inform equitable educational interventions.
  • Identify key lessons learned from the assessment and analyse strengths, challenges, and gaps in children’s reading and learning outcomes.
  • Particular attention will be given to the learning performance and progress of Cham students to better understand their achievements, challenges, and support needs.
  • Provide practical, evidence-based recommendations to strengthen project implementation, drawing on the assessment findings, lessons learned, challenges encountered, and identified best practices.
  • The recommendations should support continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and educational outcomes for all students.
  • Focus group discussions to collect qualitative data on students’ learning attitudes, engagement, and perceived changes.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in education, evaluation, research, social sciences, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of primary education and early grade literacy in the Cambodian co.
