A prominent player in the International Construction sector, our client specializes in large-scale building and civil engineering projects, prioritizing technical excellence and rigorous cost management.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

HSE Manager responsible for ensuring all personnel and operations adhere strictly to health and safety laws. This leadership role is crucial for establishing policies and executing safety programs to create and maintain a safe, compliant workplace.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Actively minimize the exposure to safety-related risks for all company personnel and subcontractors.
• Inspect, evaluate, and analyze work environments, equipment, and practices to identify hazards and recommend preventive measures against injury or disease.
• Ensure continuous compliance with all government health and safety regulations, standards, and monitor the introduction of new laws.
• Investigate and report on all incidents and near-misses on site, preparing required statistics and assisting injured parties with documentation.
• Lead the safety team, organize, and monitor safety training/education programs for a multidisciplinary workforce.
• Monitor and record hazardous materials (filing all MSDS) and ensure all workers wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in safety (HSE) in construction.
• Proven ability to manage and supervise a safety team and communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce.
• Excellent attention to detail for hazard identification, with a pro-active, analytical, and hands-on problem-solving mentality.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Perfeciency of both Khmer and English (spoken and written, especially report writing).
• Ability to prepare and deliver simple training and presentation material.
• Fluency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
