About the role

Development and Strategy: Develop and implement the company's development strategy and annual plan. Identify new markets, clients, sectors, and growth opportunities. Conduct market and competitor analysis to support strategic decision-making. Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities. 2. Client and Partnership Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, investors, government agencies, development partners, and private sector stakeholders. Identify and establish strategic partnerships to expand opportunities. Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and networking events. 3. Opportunity and Proposal Development: Identify commercial projects, tenders, grants, and investment opportunities. Lead or coordinate the preparation of technical and financial proposals. Develop cases, concept notes, and partnership agreements. Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with clients and partners. 4. Market Intelligence and Growth: Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Recommend new products, services, or market expansion opportunities. Support branding and promotion activities. 5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track development targets and key performance indicators. Prepare regular reports on pipeline status, performance, and strategic opportunities. Maintain accurate records of client engagements and opportunities.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Agri, International Development, or a related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in development, sales, investment, consulting, or partnership management.
Demonstrated experience in developing proposals, securing new business, and managing strategic partnerships.
Experience working with the private sector, investors, financial institutions, or development organizations is highly desirable.
Expected deliverables for the role: Identify, develop, and manage new opportunities that support the organization’s strategic growth.
Support market expansion, partnership development, client acquisition, proposal development, investment facilitation, and revenue generation.
Work closely with technical, operations, finance, and marketing teams to develop competitive solutions that meet client and market needs.
