About the role

Identify lending target customers and deliver assigned loan target for the medium loan team by ensuring loan assessment is properly followed and complied with credit policies.
Ensure service quality is accommodated satisfactorily by customers.
Involve in credit assessment together with medium loan staff from the beginning until the end of the loan process, including presentation of loan applications to authorized approval parties.
Lead the assigned team with charismatic manner and utmost responsibility to achieve the set loan target and maintain loan portfolio with good quality.
Exercise direct supervision over all medium loan staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Monitor team activities such as designing tasks, assigned duties, responsibilities, coaching, and performance review to maintain stable operations.
Take the lead in promoting the Bank’s Medium loan products, particularly in conducting customer orientation to improve the quality of the Bank’s medium loan portfolio.
Conduct site visits to customers’ premises and collateral in accordance with the bank’s policy to ensure proper granting of loans.
Verify supporting documents provided by clients and ensure fair collateral valuation based on actual site visits to detect fraud.
Manage late payments and medium loan defaults by consistently providing the team with professional methodologies to follow up, re-evaluate, and restructure clients’ loans.
Liaise closely with the loan recovery team to ensure successful recovery of loans.
Drive the team to achieve each individual performance target and overcome challenges in their own areas through regular pipeline meetings.
Follow up on individual loan officer’s productivity and retain the medium loan portfolio in a timely manner.
Meet and explain loan late penalty clauses in loan contracts to clients with loan officers to inform precisely on repayment discipline.
Report and update the line manager on any activities and status of the loan products, as well as any problems and issues encountered by team members.
Give constructive feedback to improve the branch’s operational policy and guidelines.
Handle complex customer issues or complaints with loan officers to reach win-win solutions and if complaints are not resolved at the low level, they should be forwarded to the higher management level.
Resolve team routine and complex issues to maintain productivity and morale.
Act as a role model within the team to question, listen, and give actionable feedback carefully to create a productive atmosphere towards a “speak up culture”.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance and banking, accounting, or any relevant field.
Minimum three years of relevant experience in banking and financial services industry with a strong track record in granting loans, preferably in banking.
Demonstration of team leadership and management.
In-depth knowledge of bank branch operations, rules and regulations, laws, granting loans, and credit risk management.
Excellent sales skills, customer relationship building, and networking.
Strong critical thinking skills, professional communication skills, assertiveness, and team dynamics.
Excellent client relationship management, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Credit evaluation and analysis skills with insights related to loans in the Cambodian context.
Financial literacy and ability to interpret and analyze financial statements (audited and/or management reports) of the borrower in order to assess repayment capacity and financial soundness of the clients.
Strong presentation skills and professionalism.
Ability to use and communicate in both Khmer and English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bank’s software.
Excellent organizing, recording, and filing skills.
Good math skills and ability to spot numerical errors.
Good team leadership, management, problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.
