About the role

Acquire and onboard medium loan clients, analyze and process their loan applications through credit investigations, scoring, credit checking, and underwriting.
Maintain existing and build new medium clients according to medium loan policies and procedures to ensure secured loans.
Collect required client documents for loan application to verify eligibility.
Gather valid applicants’ financial records including credit histories, financial statements, and other financial information.
Conduct credit investigation to analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, property evaluations, and repayment capacity to determine loan feasibility.
Conduct a site visit during loan assessment to obtain in-depth information regarding the loan application purpose and ensure sufficient and acceptable customer security.
Process and prepare Credit Appraisal Report with detailed loan appraisal write-up and financial analysis for loan approval.
Explain different loan types, credit options, and service terms to clients for cross-selling.
Make regular site visits to existing customers to assess loan collateral and financial situation, and to develop customer relationships for cross-selling.
Closely monitor recommended/processed loans for timely repayment and to ensure Portfolio At Risk remains within acceptable levels.
Closely work with Head Office to follow up on post-disbursement conditions and financial covenants to ensure full compliance.
Follow up delinquent clients immediately and refer cases to the supervisor to proactively handle the branch loan portfolio.
Discuss credit-related issues and loan packaging to provide financial advice and tailored solutions, and to cross-sell other banking products.
Stay abreast of new loan types and financial services and products to better meet customer needs.
Handle complex customer issues or complaints when Medium Loan Officers cannot, by remaining calm, executing excellent customer service principles, and escalating to higher authority if needed.
Resolve team routine and complex issues to maintain productivities and morale.
Act as a role model within the team by questioning, listening, and giving actionable feedback carefully to create a productive atmosphere towards a “speak up culture”.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance and banking, accounting, or any relevant field.
Minimum two years of experience in banking and financial services industry with a strong track record in granting loans.
Excellent knowledge of bank branch operations, rules and regulations, laws, granting loans, and credit risk management.
Excellent sales skills, customer relationship building, and networking.
Excellent customer service, client relationship management, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Credit evaluation and analysis skills with insights related to medium loans in Cambodia context.
Ability to use and communicate in both Khmer and English.
Good Microsoft Office and Bank’s software skills.
Good math skills and ability to spot numerical errors.
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.
