About the role

  • Support the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of Natural Resource Management (NRM) projects to ensure activities are delivered on time and in accordance with project plans and donor requirements.
  • Assist in project administration, including plan, budget tracking, procurement, logistics, and maintaining project documentation.
  • Coordinate with consultants, technical partners, and service providers on the development, maintenance, and enhancement of digital platforms, tools, and related project activities.
  • Organize and facilitate project meetings, consultations, workshops, trainings, and field activities with communities, Indigenous Peoples, Community Forestry, civil society organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with project partners, local authorities, research institutions, donors, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the Communications Team to develop communication materials, social media campaigns, videos, success stories, and other knowledge products to promote project achievements.
  • Support the publication of Natural Resource Management content on ODC’s platforms, including datasets, news, announcements, laws, policies, reports, and library resources, in collaboration with the Editorial Team.
  • Coordinate research activities, including baseline, midline, end-line studies, surveys, and assessments with research partners and consultants.
  • Collect, compile, analyse, and maintain project data and evidence to support monitoring, evaluation, learning (MEL), reporting, and donor compliance.
  • Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, activity reports, financial supporting documents, and other project-related documentation as required.
  • Support fundraising efforts by contributing technical inputs to concept notes, project proposals, and donor reports when requested.
  • Represent ODC in meetings, workshops, conferences, and field visits, and contribute to networking and partnership-building activities.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Natural Resource Management, Forestry, or another relevant field.
  • At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience in project implementation within civil society organizations, community-based organizations, government agencies, research institutions, development organizations, and communities.
  • Experience coordinating project activities, stakeholder engagement, trainings, workshops, and field is an advantage.
  • Experience conducting or supporting research related to environment, forestry, natural resources, climate change, land governance, or indigenous peoples is preferred.
  • Good understanding of environmental and natural resource management issues in Cambodia.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Khmer and English.
  • Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, spatial data, or open data platforms is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake regular travel to project sites and rural communities.
