ABOUT THE COMPANY:

An operating in the Financial Technology (FinTech) sector, this client is a bill and payment gateway provider whose core mission is to empower clients by delivering innovative solutions and maintaining seamless financial operations through technology.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reconciliation Officer responsible for the meticulous comparison and balancing of financial records to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and maintain the integrity of the company's financial reporting.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Execute daily financial reconciliations by matching internal system data against external bank and partner statements.
• Identify, flag, and thoroughly investigate any transactional discrepancies or variances that arise during the reconciliation process.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all reconciliation activities and findings for compliance and historical tracking.
• Collaborate and coordinate effectively with Customer Support and Finance teams to drive the timely resolution of identified financial issues.
• Contribute to audit readiness by assisting in the preparation of comprehensive reconciliation reports and supporting documentation.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
• 1-2 years of proven experience performing financial reconciliation, with a preference for experience gained within the FinTech, banking, or Payment Service Provider (PSP) sectors.
• Demonstrated high attention to detail and a responsible, meticulous work attitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working extensively with large financial datasets.
• Prior experience utilizing dedicated reconciliation or accounting software systems is preferred.
