ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Assistant Technical Manager position at the commercial building development in Phnom Penh offers an opportunity to oversee critical technical operations of a premium commercial property. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure optimal building system performance and tenant satisfaction.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead the technical supervision of all plant rooms, including AC systems, electrical facilities, and machinery spaces, ensuring optimal performance and maintenance standards
• Drive preventive maintenance programs and coordinate major repair works with contractors while minimizing disruption to building occupants
• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and occupational health standards through proper management and implementation of safety protocols
• Oversee and verify contractor service delivery, managing quality control and payment recommendations for completed works
• Direct tenant fit-out and reinstatement projects, ensuring compliance with landlord specifications and regulatory requirements
• Manage and motivate technical teams and contractors to maintain high productivity levels and service standards
• Develop and implement equipment maintenance strategies to optimize building systems performance and longevity
• Establish effective communication channels between contractors, building management, and tenants for seamless operations
• Support the Technical Manager in strategic planning and take on additional leadership responsibilities as needed

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience in commercial building operations
• Specialized knowledge of Chiller Plant and Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Proven leadership experience with strong team management capabilities
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently under pressure
• Proficiency in both English and Khmer languages
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance requirements
• Detail-oriented approach with focus on safety and regulatory compliance
